Ashland Budget Meeting: Support Funding for Climate Action

In March, the Ashland City Council unanimously passed the Climate and Energy Action Plan: a visionary plan to reduce Ashland's climate pollution by 8% a year. To implement the plan the City must hire a full-time staff person who can manage, oversee and direct the plan. In May, the City's Budget Committee will meet three times to decide whether or not to fund the staff position and other important parts of the plan.

Will you join us at the budget committee meetings on Thursday May 11, 18, and 25 at 6pm in the City Council Chambers to demand the necessary funding for the city to do its part in stopping the global climate crisis?
