Rogue Climate is a grassroots organization that brings communities in Southern Oregon together to support practical solutions to climate change that will result in cleaner energy, sustainable jobs, and a healthy environment.

Climate change is one of the main challenges of our time, and requires innovative thinking, new partnerships, and dedicated teams working locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. We are focused on local efforts, while working with partners across the state.

Making change is a shared experience. You may not be a climate scientist or a professional organizer but you have your own experiences, perspectives, and skills to add to the climate movement. Young advocates and community members will improve our own personal leadership styles, learn about the basics of organizing and what we can do for a faster transition to clean energy in the Rogue Valley, and bring our creativity and ideas together to plan for a year of action.

Nathan Jones of the NICE consulting will facilitate the training. The Northwest Institute for Community Enrichment (NICE) Consulting provides support for emerging leaders who seek to create holistic and sustainable solutions to their community’s challenges. Nathan Jones has spent nearly a decade organizing, training, and mentoring emerging leaders in environmental and social justice organizations.  He is one of the NICE’s founding members and has been a driving force behind the NICE Consulting and their innovative approach to creating change.
