Join Rogue Riverkeeper and friends for a fun, family-friendly day of action against LNG export proposals in Oregon.
Together, in a day of solidarity with groups in northern Oregon, we will rally for healthy rivers and forests, private property rights, renewable energy jobs, a stable climate and not turning Oregon into a fossil fuel export hub! The proposed Jordan Cove and Oregon LNG gas export projects are not in the best interest of Oregonians, our lands, our rivers or our state. Come help us send the message that Oregon deserves better!
What: Rally for the River! A statewide day of action against LNG exports
When: Saturday April 19th, 10am – noon (carpools leaving Ashland and Grants Pass at 9am)
Where: Meet at the parking lot at 7715 Rogue River Dr. Shady Cove, OR
We will meet in Shady Cove and march across the Hwy. 62 bridge in town with signs and banners. We will then carpool up to the proposed pipeline-crossing site on the river where we will take a group photo at the river’s edge. If the weather is nice, we will enjoy a picnic and beverages afterward along the river.
Carpools will leave Ashland at 9am from the Shop N’ Kart parking lot and from Grants Pass at 9am from the Fred Meyer parking lot. We will go rain or shine so please dress appropriately, bring your lunch and join us for lunch afterward. Come one, come all and stand up for Oregon and a fossil fuel export free future!
Join Rogue Riverkeeper and Rogue Climate for a sign-making party and potluck, Tuesday April 8th at the Bellview Grange at 6:30pm.
