Impacts of the Jordan Cove LNG Export Terminal

The Coast Range Forest Watch is hosting an evening of information about the local environmental and socioeconomic impacts of the Jordan Cove LNG project and associated Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline. Presentations by local members of Citizens for Renewables, former Secretary of State Bill Bradbury, Citizens Against LNG, Coos County Commissioner candidate Katy Eymann, and Rogue Climate. Join us as this forum addresses impacts on Coos Bay fisheries and recreation, project safety in a tsumani zone, LNG industry standards regarding proximity to a population, Jordan Cove's tax avoidance, climate change impacts, landowner impacts along the pipeline, what authority the state has to stop this project, and how you can engage in the ongoing regulatory processes. We conclude with an opportunity to ask questions of the panelists with a facilitator. As community members, we strive to engage in a respectful dialog around important issues facing our County! Refreshments available. Free event. All are welcome.
